The Fishing

Clients will fish two to a boat.  The Royal Coachman Lodge has the distinct advantage of being a small operation located right on the river.  Flexibility is the key to our fishing schedule. Every evening we sit down with our guests and go over our plans for the next day. With nearly 20 boats scattered throughout our region and many wadable rivers, the fishing options are almost limitless.

Accommodations

The main lodge building houses the kitchen, dining room, massage room (please inquire about availability), and one guest room. We have finely furnished guest cabins, with one or two bedrooms and private baths. Each cabin or room has modern bath facilities, independent heat, excellent beds, and 110 electricity provided by diesel generator.

Rates

2025 rates are $13,200. Group discounts are available, please call us for details. This package includes six days of guided fly out fishing (weather permitting). On the very rare weather days you will be able to fish the Nuyakuk River and the Tikchik River. It is possible to get some fishing on Sundays, but it is not guaranteed and not necessarily guided. If the local river is fishing well, we may schedule one day of non fly out fishing during your week.  Rate Includes: all accommodations and meals during the week, taxes, the flight from Dillingham to the lodge, flies, and guide services are included in the package.

Why Royal Coachman Lodge

The Royal Coachman Lodge has no neighbors, no boats, no cars, and no planes going by the lodge, just peace and quiet right on the river. We are located in the middle of the Wood-Tickchik State Park (the largest state park in the U.S.). The lodge only takes 10-12 guests (private groups up to 12), and with 2 Dehavilland Beavers, you will have complete flexibility. Our fishing guides are some of the best guides in the industry (our guides have on average 10 years of experience of guiding in Alaska) specializing in fly fishing in Alaska. With two exclusive permits in the Togiak National Wildlife Refuge, one private trophy trout fishery permit, permits to fish Katmai National Park and Wood Tikchik State Park, three department of natural resources permits, and nearly 20 boats cached throughout the best fishing locations in our part of Alaska, we offer an unsurpassed Alaskan fly fishing experience.
